Story of our dichotomies
This story starts with the very creation of this blog, and in particular, my personal profile when I was prompted to fill a simple text field. The first question I asked myself was - who do I define myself as - an Engineer? because that's really my primary source of income ... or an artist? because come to think of it, I started juggling both my careers around the same time when I founded my performing arts company. And then yet another thought surfaced immediately after - shouldn't my profile be about who I am and not about what I do?
And of course, just as I managed to scribble down something and thought it was all done, there it was - the picture upload button. There was no escaping my distinct avatars and as i stared at these two images, I actually felt that these were two different people, honestly! Almost felt like captioning them as -
Separated at birth?

I am sure many of us face similar dilemmas - we have always written separate resumes, compartmentalized our skill sets, consciously or sub-consciously trained ourselves to think and act as different people.
Wouldn't it be nice to unify our internal dichotomies to bring out our true selves and create something wonderful?
It is with this intent that I will now explore the world as a whole out there in the hopes of learning and connecting with you all!
